Visit by Mr. Filippo Grande, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees

On February 12, 2019, Mr. Filippo Grande, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees visited some of the activities ANE is implementing in Melkadida assisting Somali refugees. Melkadida is a typical site where ANE’s contribution stands out to be indispensable. ANE is not only providing support in the traditional sense of protection and assistance but it has also demonstrated its unique role, as it enabled other agencies to have access to the site by developing the air strip in Melkadida.

Visit by the Executive Director of ICVA

On February 7,2019, Mr. Ignacio Packer, Executive Director of ICVA, International Council for Voluntary Agencies, paid a visit to ANE and discussed with its management as to how to strengthen ANE’s operational and institutional capacities to ensure more optimal response in view of the large un-met needs in the humanitarian and development dimensions


Field Visit to Gambella to review the status of the partnership project

Officials of ANE and ROBA visited the internally displaced people of Oromia temporarily settled in Kofele and provided food items to188 IDPs on May 31, 2018 with a total support of 70,000 birr obtained from ANE.

ANE’s National Board members paid field monitoring visit in Terkiedi South Sudanese Refugee camp on July 20, 2016.
Her Excellency W/RO Fozia Amin, Commissioner of ombudsman commission of FDRE with the rank of Minister and member of ANE National Board led the delegation during the visit that was held on July 20, 2016 at ANE’s Gambella Field co-ordination office and in Terkiedi South Sudanese Refugee camp.
