ANE was honoured to host His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Alshami, Specialist in Internal Medicine and Humanitarian from Kuwait for a significant meeting with ANE's management team on July 09, 2025. This visit represented a pivotal step in strengthening global collaborations aimed at addressing pressing humanitarian and development challenges in Ethiopia.
At the meeting, Mr. Salihu Sultan, Managing Director of ANE, highlighted ANE's commitment to delivering impactful programs that support vulnerable communities, prioritizing sustainable solutions in areas such as food security, shelter and infrastructure development, education, WASH, health, nutrition, and livelihood development.
In response, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Alshami, expressed his admiration for ANE's achievements and shared his vision for humanitarian and development works. Dr. Ahmed also conveyed his keen interest in contributing to ANE's humanitarian efforts and supporting ANE to link with different partners for future projects.
The lively and productive discussions underscored the critical humanitarian demand in Ethiopia and the horn of Africa. In this aspect Dr. Ahmed also recommended to specialize in some sectors besides the multisector involvement of ANE at different refugee, IDP and host community setups fostering long-term development in Ethiopia.
