Action for the Needy in Ethiopia (ANE) in partnership with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), distributed food to the needy population

ANE through the financial assistance received from KSrelief distributed nutritional food to the needy population living in Borena, Daletti and Woliso woredas of Oromia region and Deka woreda of Somali region. The objective of the Eta’am food distribution is to improve the nutritional status and contribute improve existing living condition during the holy month of Ramadan.

In sum the food is distributed to 3000 households in Daletti. 3000 HHs in Woliso, 2000HH in Borena of Oromia region and 1644 HHs in Deka woredas of Somali region.

The food distribution contains of 30 kg of wheat flour, 5 kg of red bean and 5 litres of cooking oil for each household

On Mach 11, 2025 Eta'am food distribution was launched in Sebeta Dalettii woreda for to 3000 targeted needy families. Upon receiving the food assistances, the beneficiaries expressed their pleasure with the support and gratefulness to the donor.

Speaking at the ceremony, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Dr. Fahad Obaidullah Al-Humaydani, said that the support will strengthen the brotherhood between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia.

Action for the Needy in Ethiopia reaffirmed that it will continue to work with partners to carry out sustainable development activities beyond emergency support. These assistances will continue and will be provided to more than 58,000 people living in Daletti, Wolliso, Borena and Deka of Somali regions in the coming days.
