The Gambela Region (also spelled Gambella; Amharic: ጋምቤላ), officially the Gambela Peoples' Region, is a regional state in western Ethiopia, bordering South Sudan. What We Have Done So far in Gambella

Supporting Flood Affected Internally Displaced Peoples in gambella Region (Lare, Itang Special woreda, Jikawo, Makuey, Wantawo, Gambella Town, Abobo, Gog and Jor) Woreda.
In 2022, in collaboration with UNHCR and RRS ANE has supported,constructed 62 shelters,distributed 10000 NFI and 2500 Dignity kits for vulnerable Flood affected internally displaced peoples in gambella regions.(: Lare, Itang Special woreda, Jikawo, Makuey, Wantawo, Gambella Town, Abobo, Gog and Jor) Woredas.

In 2022,In collaboration with UNHCR and RRS, ANE acted in the construction of Road and Infrastructures,emergency and transitional shelters for vulnerable refugees and IDPs in Gambella, Regions, ANE constructed and handed over 1863 emergency shelter,532 TS construction,795 TS maintenance shelters for 3190 HHs in 7 refugee camp located in Gambella region .(Ngugnyiel,Terkidi,Jewi,kule,okugo,Pinyudo I and Pinyudo II)Refugee camps

Provision of Educational and Livelihood Support for Refugees, IDPs, Returnees and Host Communities in Ethiopia and South Sudan Border
In 2022,In collaboration with IGAD, ANE acted in back to learning campain and livelihood practices. the project targeted the support in area of Education and Livelihoods in the refugee settlement at Gorom in South Sudan and Gambella in Ethiopia respectively.this project has benefited more than 330 direct beneficiaries from education service, and livelihood opportunities in the refugee settings and host communities with the given resources.
