ANE in Ethiopia
In 2012, ANE started working in Ethiopia - Guji and Borena Zones of Oromia Region and Moyale and Liben Zones of Somali Region. The main focus was to assist the drought-affected people providing food, water and clothes. ANE is steadily growing with an increasing effort to reach out to the most vulnerable host communities and refugees. Currently, its humanitarian service has been widely spread in other parts of Oromia, Gambella, Benishangu-Gumuz, Somalia, Afar, SNNPR,Amahara and Tigray Regions addressing both emergency and development needs of refugees and disaster-affected host communities.

Recent Projects in Ethiopia

ANE secure a budget in collaboration with UNHCR and RRS to construct 200 HCB transitionnal shelters, 500 family tent installation, 2.75 k.m gravel access road, 6 pipe culvert, site improvment for tent areas with water logging areas for 2000 tents, 52 street solar light installation, 1800 cooking stove distribution, 1000 seedling plantation and fire wood distribution for 16,500 Erterean refugees at Alemwach refugee site.

In collaboration with Kind salman Humanitarian and relief center ANE Distributed Food Items for drought affected IDP'S and host communities at Negelle and liben Zones. The distribution is done for morethan 4,104 beneficaries. Detail Information...

This project aims to improve access to WASH faclities and services to save and sustain lives of of the conflictaffected IDPs and host communities with implimenter ANE with collaboration of EHF/OCHA and Regional DRMO. Under the project ANE also provide WASH /NFI kit for 400HH and dignity kit for 500 female HH.

In 2022,In collaboration with IGAD, ANE acted in back to learning campain and livelihood practices. the project targeted the support in area of Education and Livelihoods in the refugee settlement at Gorom in South Sudan and Gambella in Ethiopia respectively.this project has benefited more than 330 direct beneficiaries from education service, and livelihood opportunities in the refugee settings and host communities with the given resources.
